Dr. Muok has worked for over 20 years in research focusing on renewable energy, energy access and policy in Africa, science technology innovation, environmental conservation and climate change adaptation and mitigation. He has worked extensively in renewable energy and energy access in Africa, South East Asia and Latin America. For examples he: is a member of the East African Community (EAC) Bioenergy Advisory Group; Contributed in the development of the Economic Community of West Africa States (ECOWAS) Bioenergy Strategy for Western Africa; is a Coordinator of the East Africa Climate Innovation Networks (EACIN); Coordinated Community Based Adaptation in Africa; was the Project Manager, Policy Innovation Systems for Clean Energy Security in East Africa and South Est Asia; is a Technical Team member of ISO 13065 – Sustainable Bioenergy; is the Vice President of the Stockholm-based World Bioenergy Association (BWA); a Board member of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO Green; and Consulted for the Africa Union on Sustainable Charcoal Framework for Africa.
